Travel and Accommodation

How to get to Ljubljana and where to stay during the conference

Travel to Ljubljana

By plane:

We recommend Ljubljana airport, which is easily accessible from several major European airports. There are also favourable connections to the city centre from there, which should cost between 10–20 EUR for a one-way fare. But do ask the driver how much the drive will cost before you hop in  (http://www.lju-airport.si/en/passengers-and-visitors/getting-here/shuttle/).

Airports in Northern Italy (Trieste; Venice; Treviso), Southern Austria (Klagenfurt; Graz), and Croatia (Zagreb) are within reach as well. Getting from there to Ljubljana, however, could be a bit trickier. We recommend you to consult GoOpti, which offers a decent shuttle service from many airports in the vicinity.

By train:

Please consult Slovenian Railways or ÖBB.

By bus:

Flixbus and some other companies offer regular and relatively cheap bus service from many European cities to Ljubljana.

Accommodation during the conference

We managed to secure a discount for the participants of the conference in the Hotel Park close to the city centre. The hotel is easily accessible on foot from the conference venue.

Participants can choose between B&B in a one-bed superior room for 50 EUR/room per night or B&B in a two-bed superior room for 60 EUR/room per night. The offer stands only until March 20, 2017 and you need to apply individually by sending a reservation form to sales@hotelpark.si.

Besides, Ljubljana is the capital city and a popular tourist destination, which means one can really choose the accommodation according to individual preferences and available budget. Please check www.booking.com, but also www.airbnb.com.
